Description

**** "WHY???" Arianne's voice cried out into the cold night air. Her face was twisted with pain as the fire consumed her bruised and broken body. It seemed the whole town had gone mad. No one could remember who was the first one to shout "WITCH!", but they all remembered the trial. How this bride of Satan had the nerve to say she was innocent. Goodwife Malone had testified how her cow got ill after Arianne had fed him some grass, and young Molly Wilson convinced the court Arianne's specter made her trip and fall. In the eyes of the council there was no doubt: Arianne Browning was indeed a witch! And Arianne? She'd heard all the accusations, she'd kept on telling everyone she'd never harmed a living thing, but it had made no difference. So she finally gave up the fight, and surrendered to the flames... **** first in a series about the madness during the period of witchhunt, hope y'all will like it (and maybe even learn a little bit..haha) ** Arianna * mixture of Mara and Illu Witch texture for V3 ** Tunic for V3 (transmap by me) ** Creepy trees - Lisa's botanicals ** The Graveyard ** Mystic Places and poses 5 ** pose/expression by me

Powerful pic. Try and be aware of your light sources though. The fire should be providing a strong upward light which isn't quite reflected on the figure. Great expression though.

A wonderful image and a real great topic. I was reading some months ago about the religous persicution of that time peirod. Scary stuff we try to hide, the history of the USA has a lot of dark pierods. Here is a really cool link to info on it http://groups.msn.com/agodfightforallreligions/salem.msnw Excellent work look forward to seeing more!

Looks very good! Great expression. Maybe arching her back some more and pulling her arms backward would increase the feeling of being shackled to that tree. The reddish light is great and those flames look wonderful. Well done!

A very dramatic scene with vibrant colors and lighting. Great posing and use of the fire.No doubt about it - fear burns out of control like a wildfire. I think I read that many of the so called 'witches' were the women with possessions and land that could be taken afer they were burned at the stake. Going to be a fascinating series you are creating. :o) CC
