Description

It's my first image at Renderosity.com and one of the first ones made in Terragen. Surface map made by me, I did some grass testing and it turned out quite fine (maybe I'll put some grass testing images later), but I'm not very happy about rocky surfaces (too smooth, not very realistic)... Comments & Critics are more then welcome!

this looks very nice! for the rock texture, try playing with the bump map and the scale depth settings, and also with the mimmic terrain. by the way, that grass looks amazing, Ah! and watch out for the end of the terrain

For the "end of terrain", that means that your camera is to high for this terrain size and this point of view, try to lowered it and place it, for example, between the two mountains on the right, looking at the backround corner.

I agree with my collegues and your own analysis. Good first indication of a promising terragen artist is the ability to see your own work!!! Welcome and can't wait for the next one!

thanks for the comments!! Yeah I realized the ocen is falling down in a waterfall of the edge of the world (maybe it's on Discworld :))...bit too late, though... also wanted to tell that I added a layer to have the effect of light blue sea (sandy sea floor) near the coast I've seen your galleries...left me without words...
