Her house is beginnings and endings
reeks of a future furnished in anger
We sit on piles of her torn out hair,
a vestige of lament
freed from the cage of her bitter, sad heart
She is the concubine
Left to do her bidding
we gather in last remnants
a civilization
seeking comfort hidden behind her
golden embroidered skirts
she raises her dress to the onslaught of
life, many small children
their arms outstretched
seeking the answer
beyond the wall
