Description

One of a pair of commissions I recently completed (and enjoyed immensely!) for the splash page of a fantasy gaming site. The final requirements were only 800x600, but I obviously rendered it higher for my own promotional use and for clarity! :) Sadly the site isn't live yet, so I cannot link to it for further reference. The brief was to create a single scene with with both light and dark versions, each sharing the same landscape and setup, but with unique swords and differing texture treatments and lighting within the environments. I was particularly pleased with this one, but I might also post the other one tomorrow. All modeled, textured and rendered in Cinema 4D 8.5XL and Bodypaint R2. :)

A very nice modeling and sword design! The sword looks balanced and the handle could be used with both hands during battle. My hats off to you.

Beautiful crisp lighting... and as always your modeling and texture work leaves me curled up in a small corner sucking on a thumb... I get reduced to fetal stage viewing overwhelming talent. :oP
