Well I was born in the UK on the 4th feb. I've moved around the world a few times and I've seen a bit of it in my travels.. Mostly when I was young tho. Now I live in North East England in a small fishing town called Grimsby. (Google it) Well my passion for art really began to take off about 5 years ago when I moved into 3D art when i got a program called poser. After getting my head around the program I began to create a lot of simple images. But i was unhappy with most of my work, As I couldn't call my work my own yet. (e.g I made all that) As I was downloading items to use in my art that I was still unable to make myself But that all changed when I got Bryce, Bryce gave me a platform to work from and allowed me for the first time to create art from scratch. I found it a lot easier to use then Poser and it gave me a lot more tools as you can see from my first few Bryce images. But I did spend a lot of time playing around with it. It was not till I found wings3D that my work began to take on a new shape and look as I was at last able to unlock my ideas and create away..

Wonderful work. I love the color and light. Water is a little odd. But I like it!!

great colors and composition

it's nice, simple but with nice colour balance. Just a hint: I think you used the "fast preview mode" to do the render, try to do a normal render and you'll se a great water!

Don't forget, the ship is moving through the water, and however slowly, will show a long wake, especially in this flat water scene. As it is now, she looks like she is standing still. If she isn't, if she is becalmed, then the sails would hang limp and lifeless and not bellied out as shown. Also, in this view, with the sun going down or rising behind the ship, there would be shadows of the masts and rigging showing through the canvas. The sails would not be transparent, but the shadows would show.

Great one for your first image with lovely sunset colours, it always takes time to get to grips with Bryce so I'd take FitArtistSF's critical comments with a pinch of salt. JedSwindells sure has some great ship models. Tony.
