it is a Turkey trying to hide from the butcher knife. Lovely gradient and interesting way of bringing out the flame against the background.

I have to agree with gknapp, it does seem more like a lovely cornucopia than like a turkey (probably because the head and legs appear to be missing. On second thought, I could believe a smart turkey hiding its susceptible head from the stroke to come and hunkered down with its legs under it. Whichever it is, nice gradient and lighting.
