Description
A pair of COS Troopers head for the finish line, as they indulge in some unauthorized use of government equipment to have a little race. Sgt. Rudzik with a slight lead flashes the victory sign to his buddies. Cpl. Rust, catching up fast signals that he disagrees.
The Grav Bike Troopers of Terra's Children of the Sun Division are renowned throughout the Imperium for their military record. They take their name from their battle hymn. The hymn predates the Atomic Wars and the authors name is lost to history.
When I was in the Marines I can remember a few unauthorized night races down the flight line on some TA's (tractor, aircraft of course.)
This one is for all of our brave troopers(guys and gals) who are putting it all on the line to defend freedom. I hope you all make it home safe and sound. To all you Leathernecks out there.... Semper Fi!
All of the models were made in Wings and rendered in Bryce If you want them, you can get the models and mats at the link below.

Very cool scene. Love the bikes, the troopers. Great design and texturing. Would love to see what else these guys do.

Years ago (60's) I was in the army reserve and there was a burnt out Bell Sioux Hellicopter in the compound in Singleton Training Area. We asked what happened? The word was: it was taken, without authorisation, out at night to do some spotlight shooting of kangaroos and it was flown into the side of a hill!. Your words and pic takes me back.....
