Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

Quite simply formidable!! wow! Pretty contrast with the bottom. There it has the proud air, perched all high! Me I will nourish it if it looks at me:) .. a little bit independent! You believe that my black cat would make good pace there too? hihi Cheer good glance and an excellent capture. Excuse the humour of lajasmine:) V

The one you met is interested in what you leave behind but I know some of them who are also interested in what you've got in your bag! Even if you stay close to your bag. I love this. This is the proof that wild life is still possible, even in the proximity of human visitors.

Breath taking....it is most beautiful. It must be quite an experience for you to be in those surroundings as you take these kind of pictures. I am happy to have viewed this awsome picture. I can even see the feathers on the bird. Very detailed, excellent. Thank You.

When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a raven (my favourite bird; I always wanted to had a domestiacted one to take it in my shoulder) Now it looks me more like a blakbird or, as you very well say, a Pyrrhocorax graculus. Yes, surely it is a Pyrrhocorax graculus. Anyway, a great shot. Congratulations.

Wonderful shot. Great details! :)))

Beautiful DOF! Excellent image. It has always irked me that people can't pay attention to the signs. It's quite simple "Don't feed the wildlife" But as a general rule, people are simple.

Yes, Jan-Carel, as long as bread crumbs are all we leave behind. Our boots and our shadows should be all that touch the wilderness. We move on. The birds and other wildlife have to survive there.
