Description

This is the crest of an imaginairy town, Drochten that I am trying to make 'real' with C4 and all. It started with throwing three crests on top of each other. Later I redrew the front part in Illustrator. I used a new C4 terrain for the background, from a height map I made in Photoshop. I used the same map as blender in some operators in the shader. I rendered it with two lights and a free hdri file. Carrara makes me happy... Tomorrow I will post my first Amapi object (Amapi drives me mad) (a first version is at www.drochten.nl )

This is great; clever use of a terrain! I particularly like the shield. Good lighting and shading.

Fabulous. I don't know how you shaped the pewter back plate...(and I probably never will) But it's great. One comment: It seems as tho the inner part of the crest should stand out more. Not quite clear.Still awesome.
