Description

Lil Cassandra the Copyright Enforcer...How many of us wish she was real. I see her as a shoot first, educate later later type girl. She will not listen to the BS like, "We're doing the artist a favor.", and "but this is fair use because it is a tutorial". He favorite are those who take pride in thier "Snags". "Who cares if it is not right, so long as I use it first."...You know them. She has her own little lazer brand that will brand "Dirty Thief" across thier foreheads... Oh yeah, this is one of my favorite Lilz. I think most artists might agree with me. (Not all tubers and taggers are bad people, and support artists copyrights. My comments are for all the others) By the way, New york was great, I almost sold out of my first shipment of 2005 calendars. Who'd of thought New Yorkers would like the Lilz. ( times out of ten it was for a girl who badgered her boyfriend into buying. It was funny. Don't worry, the second printing is on the way. http://www.lilz.net/psother.html Oh... and... This is hand inked, Photoshop colors.

it'd be a lot harder to tube these pics if you didn't have the white halo around the character. Some hard edges shadows on the bike (and yellow pop rivets!???..!) would make it pop more

this is starting to get ridiculous, do you see how big portion of the pictrue u destroy with that watermark thing of yours? do you really get that upset over some kid using your pic on his site or whatever, were do you get the energy for that from? what are you afraid he will gain from using it? you obviously already make money from them, do you think they will to?

M6master. Where do I get the energy? It comes from protecting my ability to make money from my license. Do other try to make money from my license? In the last 6 months I have shut down 3 people selling CD's of what are called tubes. I have even shut down or made life difficult many others who have tried to sell a "service" tubing my work. Beyond that, just the redistribution of my work in any form that I do not authorize, should and is within my right to defend. I would be fine with the regular kid using my work for his personal use as a desk top and such. It is the mass redistribution that has caused me to disfigure my work in this way. Don't blame me, blame the "thieves out there that made it necessary for me to do this, and don't be surprised if others follow my lead. As the artist, I am left with two choices; 1) disfigure the work so that it would be difficult to tube, or 2) stop sharing my work. You as the viewer have two choices; 1) accept that this is the corner that I have been pushed into and deal and try to support it or 2) Ignore my work. Read through my gallery in the last few images I have posted, most support and understand why I do this. PS. PSP tubers and taggers from what I have witnessed are not kids. They are adults who should know better, but dont care. Its why they use terms like snagged, its like swipe or steal. *Not all Tubers and taggers are thieves, in fact the thieving community appears to grow smaller, until it can police itself, I must protect myself.

Joel...You're right and m6master is wrong. Those of us who really love your work understand and encourage you to do what you must to protect your product. (if you don't, no one else is going to jump out and say "hey...that's Joel's work! Quit ripping him off! I'm callin' the cops!!!") Anyway...this is a dynamite piece. Great lineart and color. Can't wait for your next piece!!!

Beautiful work, as always. I didn't know you were coming to NY... sorry I missed you. BTW, just keep posting your copyright and don't think twice about it. You will NEVER satisfy everyone that loooks at your work, whether it's for quality or style or technical execution or copyright protection. Everyone's got an opinion and most are quite free about sharing them... bottom line, - do what you have to do to protect your work, and still fulfill you artistic obligations as YOu see them! I, for one, always look forward to seeing your next piece, copyright logo attached!

Yeah it's too bad you have to put such a large logo over your work in order to keep the low-lifes from stealing it, but I'd rather see it with the logo than to never see your cool stuff. If someone can'tunderstand why you do it, they either aren't capable of understanding, or they never had anyone steal from them. It's not that difficult. Keep up the good work, and keep up the good fight :)

definitely in agreement here on the watermark, its annoying to see yes, but its not his direct fault. Theft is theft regardless of form, and all owners of content/merchandise will do what they must to protect what's theirs, this is no different. Besides that point, its his, he can do as he pleases with it regardless.
