Description

I took this picture at the end of this summer in Bran Castle, not far from Brasov ( the place where the legends say that the Great Count Dracula lived/lives ... ). I'm sorry to dissapoint you guys, but in this castle Vlad Tepes also know by most of you as Dracula was only a prisoneer for a short time, maybe a night if I remember well. Vlad Tepes was also called Vlad Dracul ( romanian word Dracul means "The Devil/Evil" ), but as I know from our history he was very cruel only with thieves not with good, hard-working people. He was a great ruller of our country, he punished every thief, cheater, bad man, liar, etc. I found something interesting on the Web about Dracula and I give you the links >> http://www.donlinke.com/drakula/vlad.htm << >> http://members.aol.com/johnfranc/drac05.htm << ~ All the best and I hope you like this picture ~ Valentin

Neat chandelier. Never saw anything like it before. As far as Vlad (whatever), as they say in the movie "Man who shot Liberty Valence" -- when the legend and the facts conflict, you publish the legend. ;-)

I just saw this on your home page. Excellent and interesting photo. Beautiful piece. This sculpture probably has some potent magical powers. Those Romanians can be a tad bit on the superstitious side, I mean Hungarians..but they are cool. Peace to you and Vlan. :-)
