Invariably, at the last minute, there were personnel changes. The leader of SGL2 and one of SGL1's members were reassigned until a problem in the Western UnderDark was investigated. A problem came up in the Magistrum in Dient that made Baroness Augustine's presence uncertain. She could be recalled to the capitol at any moment. But the beginning of operations could not be delayed again, especially if the rumors coming from the east were true, that war was brewing between the Atheaens and the Symballan Empire.

In these turbulent times, perhaps a cooler head was in order, someone with a more peaceful approach to dealing with problems. Thus it was accepted by the Legacy Congress that a Delsian scholar be assigned to SGL1. She had been attached to the High Elven Consulate in Crystallis, a half a world away, as a teacher, a priestess of their God of knowledge and wisdom, Labelas Enoreth. Thus it was with the pomp and ceremony for a bishop in the Carellonian Church that she was received at Syvasgaard.

Unfortunately, her arrival was marred by the unexpected arrival of the last of the Symballan contingent; the son of one of the Silver Gryphon's best, Remotep ben'Juriel, the Anubahji Paladine son of General Juriel al'Nubias; Rashad ben'Waleed, bastard son of a Thunate Dare Devil; and a brooding Ranger named Khalid ibn'Shen. It was not at all clear whether they were sending their best and brightest, or their criminal refuse. But with luck and patience, Sister Dovanielle Moondown would be able to keep them in check.
