Cool heavy snow. May be you should try to stop the snow just some cm from the water, where it is supposed to melt. Superb, anyway.

Very Nice Colors and Lighting! Agree about the snow/water transition. On my render January Mystique there are 3 layers of snow and I stoped them all abruptly at the water hgt. and then added a last layer of gray wet snow right above the water hgt. (I think about 3.m) with a soft transition.
