Description
My first cut at a Dr Ross suit from the FF movie. I haven't seen the movie and could only find a couple of small pictures to use for reference... so if you know of a good reference site I'd appreciate the url so I can work on the details. Modeled and rendered in Max 2.5 Thanks for looking!

Great job. If you do a search, you'll find a few fan sites out there that have a ton of pictures and screen caps from the movie. Have you tried the main movie site? Lots of stuff there, too.

I've seen the movie a couple times now and I think you did a great job on the suit. The only thing that I can see that is obviously wrong is the texturing on the suit. It should be more of a gray/blue not yellow. I think the blotches might be too big but I didn't pay super detail to it in the movie. The floor needs a bump map to make it look more realistic. Great work though!

I have not seen the movie, but this is fantastic. Such rich tones, such detail. It really is incredible work. 3DS is a daunting program, and you make it look so easy. Thank you for sharing your work.

Perfection is to small word for your work...

I always see the same effect. How come your scenes have no improvement in lighting? Is it the scanline or what do you use to render? You have lots of models and lots of textures but its always the same unrealistic look.Is this the effect you go for? and the camera angle is very undramatic.Try putting the camera down and tilting it upward about 20 degrees.focus more on her right and render as panoramic view.It would greatly improve. These are just my suggestions. But I have seen pros at work and they are very fussy about little things.

I love your textures, man. Do you use "Seamless Textures" from Marlin Studios. Ive tried some of them and are great, the problem is that arent free. Great lighting too.

Gotta' disagree with you pureflesh, you need to dig a little deeper into this man's work. Way to many excellent pieces to mention but maybe try "Devoted" or "Komodo Palace" for a clearer outlook. Another great work brschmidt. You should have been AOM.....

Moody lighting could really push your work over the top. Don't be afraid to leave some of your image in shadow; it will only enhance your good texturing and objects.
