Description

Of course there is no such thing as a black flower. New colour variants are always the result of mixing colours and since black is the absence of colour a flower can never be truly black. I have seen "black" flowers once at the trade exhibition (my husband is in "the green business"), but they were very, VERY dark purple and thus looked black. And mine isn't black either. It needed the colours around the edges to bring it out. Made in UF, again with Doodads, this time on Julia. No extra mapping, only framing (also in UF). I'm very busy this week so no time to look and comment on all your wonderful images. Oh well, maybe one or two ;-) Will try to post images but if you should miss me (that would be nice!): I'll be back. Yvonne

Very striking and vibrant image, Yvonne. I would not have thought a black flower would be attractive, but you have proven me wrong in the extreme. The black does a beautiful job of contrasting your lovely and luminous edge colors to make this gorgeous floral spiral vibrate with glowing energy. Creative and excellent art!!

interesting sparkling ALMOST black flower. Nice presentation. I have seen a "black" orchid growing very high up in the Andes mountains South America. They looked or were black because they never saw sunshine, always in a deep cloud cover. Thank you for sharing this with us..
