Description

There is a town, east of L.A. called City of Industry. Did an art show in a mall there years ago. Seems like a nice enough town, but the name implies nothing but warehouses, factories and business parks. Hence the title. Would have been "Gray #6" but there's way too much color. Used Animax textures for forms, walls and ground, plus making the ground terrain. Bryce CD barrels and support beams.

The series is great, and the foreground in this one is excellent. I am glad you used color in this one.

I was so very much anticipating your work based on your current study....VERY WELL DONE! The atmosphere is truly what you wanted to capture, had the shadow been any different, you would not have the piece you do. Love it! next please...ehehe....no pressure, really.....(= (I so love watching artists explore!)

Excellent image...could be interpreted in a number of ways! IMHO, it looks like an old abandoned movie back-lot. Great work!

Rusty Chain wouldn't be the distant cousin of Red Rope by any chance, would he? Classy design - nice clean simple shapes make the clutter not look like clutter! Well done!

Wonderful study. Is red chain interchangeable with red rope?

Sshhh... It's red rope in disguise. Don't tell anybody. ;) The colours lift this one above the grey series, for me at least. Grey period was good, rusty period will be better. :)

Isamu Noguchi would love this... an excellent concept & realization! An industrial inspired phantasmagorism!

Nice texturing, your works' statements are very powerful yet still subtle, awesome job.
