Description

Since the disappearance of Krakatau, smaller eruptions have been observed. The ocean floor has been since gradually rising, eventually giving birth in 1927 to a new island, north of what remains of Rakata. Today, Anak Krakatau (Son of Krakatau) rises more than 150 m above sea level and is two km in diameter. In the back on the right side you notice rakata island on the left Lang island and the island where the pic is taken from is called Verlaten. These 3 islands are the only remains of the sunken island Krakatau. This will be the last Krakatau image, if somebody wants this terrain just send me a message. Thanks for looking. All comments welcome. Regards SnapIII
