Description
Caution Hikers! A distant thunderstorm delivers a deluge of rainfall far to the north causing an otherwise dry ravine to fill with a raging flow of water. Such is a commonplace event in the southwestern desert during the monsoon season.

Superb! Surfaces, terrain, atmos, water, sky - erm have I missed anything? It's all great:) Just nitpicking but, the water seems quite transparent. If it was a flash flood it would pick up a lot of silt wouldn't it?

The sandy colors and muddy water make it feel very southwestern (or WY :) ). The grass feels just a tad too green for the rest of the environment though. Maybe a little closer to a sage color?

Very realistic Bob & definately worth repeating! Southern California lost several people this year to flash floods, either because they were not prepared, or did not heed the warnings!Mother Nature is beautiful but that beauty can sometimes be deceiving & flash floods can deluge an area in minutes!Even expert swimmers have been caught off-guard!
