These figures have always fascinated me. I just saw a program about 'The Dying Rooms', there are places in China where they place abandoned baby girls to starve to death....what a contrast an 'army' for an emporer and yet little babies, who happen to be born female, starve to death.

One of the things about these statues that I have always found fascinating: no two faces are alike. Every one of the 7000+ warriors' faces was modeled from an actual warrior in the Emperor's army, on pain of death...think of the time it took to mold the faces of each, times 7000+...
