My dear Vraxor. I thank your comment and, of course, I accept it as an expression of your feeling about Tauromachy. Tauromachy has, I know, a suffering facet and I can, perfectly, understand that people who only see, reject it. Tauromachy has a suffering facet, its true, but, as i have said in another part in this page, in some way, its, beside, an allegory of Life. And Life involves suffering. Fight between Man and Bull envolves suffering and... a thousand of thinks more that some people understand and other dont. Anyway, its a fight united to mediterranean culture since more than two thousand years ago (Creta, Minos...) and that has been inspiration of thousands of works of art. I know that predominant ideology nowadays pretends to transform Mankind in Disneyland. In this sense, I refuse your comment, and, with the arguments said ut supra, I reject it. And more: with a Liberal argument I tell you: if it upset you, just dont see it. Worse things are in Internet.

Sorry, but i just dont understand why the bull has to suffer to make this allegory. And as for tradition, wasnt slavery perfectly normal in the old days ? I dont hear you defending that... This image really makes me sick, its disgusting to slaughter an animal for human pleasure. If people wish to make the so-called allegory why dont they fight eachother like they fight the bulls ? I dont have anything against you but seeing you defend this horrible practice makes me feel disgusted. And you cant hide behind tradition in these kind of matters... think !! Would you like it if you were in the bulls position ?? I think not... 'nough said, hope you dont take this as a personal attack (besides the fact that you try to make it right by hiding behind tradition).

I dont want to prolong here the eternal discussion about bullfights. I only would like to add that in the bulls nature is to be combative but in humans nature there is not to be an slave. It would be, in effect, cruel, to do bullfights with sheeps. This beautiful animal that you see here exists only because bullfights exist. I say again that I understand the rejection of those who only can see in them its suffering side. What I do not accept is the pretension that their feelings are the morally good ones and mine the morally bad ones. The belief that the correct form of understand Life is that what one has himself has always been called Ethnocentrism.
