Description

###################### Kaleidodreams {{ 10 }} ###################### Image title - ' Le Tambourin ' XenoDream This object has some resemblance to the musical instrument called The Tambourin . When shaken , a sharp rattle -like sound is produced .The sound of this beat brought about a type of French dance imitating a peasant dance; it is in 2/4 time and has a bass part which imitates a drum beat. This dance was very popular in 18th and 17th century France.I have several harpsichord pieces by Francois Couperin and Boutmy which are great fun to play on my own copy of a French double manual instrument. Anyway , thanx for looking at this image and also for any comments ........ Michael

This one seems to be made out of some very complex alloy! Wonder what it sounds like, probably somewhat metallic and rich in harmonics. Excellent work!

Excellent, Michael. I love the lighting on this. It looks like it's made of wood with the color as part of the grain.
