This piece is simply for the memory of my grandmother Gertrude. She passed away long ago BUT as a child, she turned me onto everything that still turns me on, like art and science and history. I remember our weekend outings to the Smithsonian. She was deaf so we always SHOUTED "Love you Grandma"!
Her mother was American Indian, Blackfoot Tribe...Great Grandma!...(another story)
Just a flame, brought memory wrapped in a beautiful Indian blanket or sound through a hearing aid.
Like the first Edison recording,
crackles and pops "Mary had a little lamb..."
She left me an Edison record player with the tube records. As a kid,we would always ask her to play it. She would carefully crank it up and we would listen to "How you gonna keep them down on the farm after they've seen Paree?" I loved that song!...makes me laugh, she was so funny, yeah...this piece reminds me of her...perhaps it's just the time of year...it's strange how fractals can sometimes evoke memories...
Here is a cool site that has archived recordings from the early 1900s...fascinating!

Funny how little memories creep into a design sometimes . I see exactly what you mean however, These are the colors of a beautiful indian quilt and seems almost like feathers :D Excellent !!!!
