Description

This is a picture of my back porch. This is a test of ShadowCatching within Cinema4D. The Chair was modeled in Rhino3D, imported in and then placed the picture of my porch as a background. The Chair shadows were rendered within the scene and not added with post work.

I think this is probably the best shadow catcher experiment I have seen thus far! - a little grime on the chair would complete the illusion! :)

Very well done there. The only thing that spoils the effect is the shadow on the actual glass itself. Other than that, you'd think it was a real chair.

What Nod said. You could fix that by rendering the shadow layer as a separate pass using the multipass render settings in the Render Settings dialog. Looks great.

I totally agree with kromekat! Stunning shadow casting from the chair. I would like to see a closeup on the chair just to see more of the shadow thats been cast on window and curtain. :)) Strata

Thanks everyone. This is the first of many test, I really enjoyed doing this. FYI - There is a screen that the initial shadow is on, the back shadow is actually on the curtains. Next time, I will work on the shadows a little more.
