Description

Hi Everyone!! This is my first post here, even though I have been here for a few months. I have to say that I'm in AWE of most of the images I see here, which has only added to my reluctance to post my images here. But after talking with a member here, I've decided to share my images to learn more from the artists here. So please feel free to make comments, suggestions, and criticisms of my artwork so that I may improve. Thank you This image was created in a 2D vector based artwork program called "Xara-X" (Zara X). Nemesis was inspired by the movie poster "Star Trek - Nemesis". My goal was to faithfully recreate the poster (desktop image) as best I can solely in Xara. To me that means using no texture photos. I'm not completely happy with the way the wings and tail of the bird came out, I would have loved to make them stone or metal - but without a texture photo, this was the best I could do. Another area of concern for me was the brilliance of the light from behind the name of the movie (which also seems to obscure some of the detail in the tail). Not to meantion the fade of the brilliance from color to color, and then into darkness. Anyway, please feel free to give your comments, suggestions and criticisms. Thank you for looking ~Madalynne~
