Description

The soft white coating is landing once again, trapping me in my dwelling. Even though I am locked inside, my heart reaches out through the window. I don the warmest clothes I can and head out into the fantasy land it always becomes. I find a deep drift and plop myself in as deep as I can, settling my limbs in the billowy surface. As I lay there in the drift the flakes touch on my face, melting on impact. I sympathize with them. Their efforts can coat the land for miles but when they find a person, they are foiled almost immediately. I lay in the snow and let it slowly bury me, accepting the flakes around me. I even help them and brush a few more onto myself. My head nods off, and leaves me lying there while it travels to times gone by, where snowman exist much higher than I could reach. My father, laughing as I come in to get him to help me put it together. The holes I put in the snowman's chest, taking out my anger. Fixing the poor snowman when I was done hating him. I wake up and find myself completely buried in snow. The flakes silly efforts eventually worked. They all teamed up and piled themselves on my face and together they didn't melt so fast. I consider myself taught a lesson, and rise from the snow with new knowledge.

You understand the snow, as well. Magic stuff and excellent writing. Gotta love the hydrologic cycle at it's best and prettiest. :) V
