When I saw the thumb, I thought it was an XD render! We have two fireplaces and still chop wood. (12 acres of trees to clean up after, lol) This is a great representation.

If one has cut wood and burned it in a fireplace or woodstove, how could one ever forget joys: the smoke filled room when the damper closed accidentally, or the ever present pungent burnt odor pervading the house, or - for sure - the great pleasure of cleaning up the ashes and finding a place to put them (getting a nose filled with the fly-away in the process). Ah yes, your image brings back sweet nostalgic times and evokes fond memories! (= LOL. On a serious note, Randee, I like your bright and cheery image very much for it captures the pleasant, outdoor part of the activity very appealingly with the nice fall coloring and the unique and creative wood spiral (would that wood would stack itself so nicely). The sunflowers and grass are a nice touch and the textures on the kindling are quite realistic. Evocative work rendered creatively and excellently!

Wow, terrific image! Great elements all and they fit together so perfectly! I used to cut and burn wood for about 7 years living in a small house in upstate New York with two woods stoves, no insulation, and no money! Now that kind of work would kill me. Love the flowers, or maybe they represent the passing of the sun through the sky as hour after hour goes by and the woodpile waiting to be split never seems to get any smaller. Really fantastic work!*

very lovely movement of colors and shapes. I cut wood for campfires but remember carrying wood in the house for a pot belly stove we had when I was six years old[ I got burn on the stove lol]
