I think the rings and the surface of Saturn look very realistic, and I just wonder where you got those textures from, since I can't find any. Maybe you could make the rings a little bit less transparent, then it would be perfect.

Love your background, how about a render of just the space sceen, it would be a great space background. ship is a bit too busy for my tastes but is still interesting

Very good scene

To Matrus. The Saturn texture is Saturn, and the ring transparency is generated from raw data available at www.mmedia.is/~bjj/data/saturn/rings.html. You will need to process the data outside of Vue to get the disc. Put a note on the forum if you want more details (some details already there). Similarly the galaxy is a galaxy photo and alpha map (just made by producing a negtive of the galaxy).

Eeek -- the planets are going to crash into each other!!! (gravity) LOL. Actually the transparency looks right to me from NASA images of Saturn. Did you use a "fisheye" lens when you rendered to get the curving effect for the spaceship?
zoon
To Sundogdeb, no fisheye, 35 mm. the curve is a csg of two elongated spheres.
