Description

I havent posted an image here in quite a while , my free time has been spent on creating an image for a contest(Cgtalk space contest) and you can post images here as long as you post there first. Anyways here is a model of a character(typical soldier)that will be overlooking my scene. It was modeled in C4's vm room , I used C4's uv editor to create the uv map and then painted the texture in photopaint. I used Mike delaflors tut to help me out as I don't do much organic modelling like this. My first attempt didn't look as nice as this one , with feedback from the other contestants and tried again and this is the result. It is a good learning process for sure. Now I have to model the rest of the body/uniform.

the texture of the face looks good, but I think, the eye is to dry and to flat

Thanks for the comments , Cajomi, you are right,I may do something with it but in the final image the head will be 20% of this size so you shouldn't notice. Toxe, I am almost done the character now, the hands where tough to do for sure . Ed, yes it was alot of work but I learned alot. When the entire character is done I will post something. Mike
