Description

FE,APO2,UF3>PSP7 construction, frames and airplanes. This is my first attempt at a scene with fractals and I know it's FLAT as a pancake but I had a good time last night decorating the tree! It reminded me of an American Folk Art Painting, but made with fractals. I'll most likely try another in the weeks to come now that I've learned a few things. Thanks for all the hits and comments on Betty Snowflake! She and Suzie are visiting today! Chris

It's a wonderful image, Chris... not all images have to have a great deal of depth. It has a folksy, country kind of feel to it, and is very artful. I can see you spent a lot of time of this one.... so many tiny little details.... all the cool apo flames for tree ornaments and all the gifts and framed pictures... and all the time compositing it in PSP. Great work, a wonderful happy holiday image... and happy holidays to you!!! :))

You must have spent hours on wrapping all those little gifts and framing your images to hang on the wall. And you have made Christmas wallpaper! Lovely image!

Impressive nostalgia, Chris! This is a very effective folk art style image, the kind of thing one saw on those wonderful old Christmas cards from the 50's and 60's. The true 2-dimensionality - very much a quality of that art - is very effective here and must have been difficult to achieve. Your image has a delightful array of fractal objects creating a cheery and joyful scene. It must have been quite a chore to pull all these elements together in one pic and still maintain a balanced imaage. Excellent work and happy holidays back to you!

I'm in total awe. This is beautiful and since I just joined the ranks of "Senior Citizen", this is pulling in many memories from my past. Your talent is exceptional. I can't wait to see the next posting.

Oh, Chris, it's wonderful! I love the "flat" look- not everything has to be 3D, ya know! And the design and details and "folk-art" style blow me away. It's a veritable feast of designs, patterns and color. Outstanding combining of apps and a memorable piece of work!

What is not to love about this festive image? The tree is marvelous, as are the decorations. All the details are there and superbly done. You don't do anything half hearted and it shows in your work, which is always a pleasure to view.

Wow! This is awesome! I can only imagine how much work you put into this, but it must have been a ton. All of the individual fractals are beautiful and the attention to detail is amazing. I, too, really like the 'folk art' look to it. Amazing job, Chris! :o) V

I agree with what others said about flatness. I think it works very well in this image, with the folk art look.
