i of the white fang and claw
once fierce
once feared
now myself in fear
of this change
that restlessly advances
of this unwanted transformation
that I can no more easily avoid
than the coming nightfall.
And with this thought, I can walk
willfully
and sorrowfully
to my captors
until finally there is nothing left of me.
