Description

Enough of battle stories, some time left, maybe I'm able to reach Wick at the north coast of Scotland to catch a view over the North Sea before it's dark. On my way up there it was getting very foggy! At some places one could only see 5 m into the far. And there also were fences around, so that one couldn't walk to the coast! I decided to turn around and to drive home. But on this way to the north I discovered an old church in the twilight, isolated in all the fog around! But the photography didn't show exactly the ghostly atmosphere I perceived. But the color setting I choosed here is doing well! What do you think, ghostly enough? Thanks for passing by and all your comments which I appreciate very much! ;o)

I like how you describle the atmosphere as ghostly, it's just the word I thought of when I first viewed this. Awesome work. Love the tone you chose.

Perfectly restored atmosphere, Rita. IMHO, I would have slightly moved away from the centre the image of the church towards the right... Great shot!

hmmmm, to be honest it doesn't look spooky or like it's in the evening... but like a peaceful, misty morning just before dawn... and most lovely indeed.

I like the effect you've achieved with this; I agree it's not spooky, but it certainly has character.

I have to say this is just a gorgeous shot. I don't know the dynamics of photography, but it is a perfect mood for whatever time of day it is. I have to agree it is not spooky, but maybe eerie. Just lovely and very lucky.

It is very well done!!! I feel well the sadness of the place, and the chosen color adds a very sinister atmosphere!!! Bravo Rita, moreover it is beautiful!!! I like the frame too!!!
