Description

The Nyoshahl starship depicted here is a large,long-range exploration vessel dating to the late 3rd Era of Human Star-Faring Technology. By this time, the Nyoshahl had almost caught up with Humans and the T'lar in their space travel capabilities. One Nyoshahl faction, the small Deep Space Exploration Clan, had accepted associate status with the Fellowship of Star-Faring Sentients and initiated contact via the Human-T'lar tachyon transmitter network with a number sentient species. During the latter half of the 1700's FCE, the Deep Space Exploration Clan sent emissary starships far outside Nyoshahl occupied space in order to visit some of these species in person. Physically the largest and at times most arrogant sentient species near Human and T'lar occupied space, the Nyoshahl longed to find another sentient species in the galaxy physically similar to themselves, a race they feel they could accept as true equals. Thus, the sentient species visited by these long range Nyoshahl explorers were usually ones that resembled the Nyoshahl in some way. The design for this Nyoshahl starship is based upon one done for me by fellow speculative spaceship artist Jeff D. Robb. He also created the concept of the Nyoshahl race. You can find out more about the Nyoshahl and other sentient species of my "Fellowship of Star-Faring Sentients" universe by vising my website, www.dcmstarships.com. The Nyoshahl vessel was modeled and rendered using TrueSpace 6.6 with running lights added using Universe Creator 1.63. Corel Draw 12 was used to add the banner and the background came from a Hubble Space Telescope website. An alpha mask was used to created perforated appearance of the outer hull shell.
