Description
This is the Bering Strait.
The Bering Strait is a cold, semi frozen plot of water, on the top of the world.
You can see the Ice shelf off in the distance, this is permanent.
This is the Bering Sea.
Temps are always below freezing.
The only thing that keeps this water from becoming ice is the constant push of the arctic wind.
Cold, cruel and harsh, not a place for the timid. not a place to live.
Water creatures do ok, polar bears are not as lucky. They have to wait for a seal or walrus to surface.
You can see ole Wally looking all forlorn and by himself.
Wally is old and can't keep up with the rest. He has a few injuries tacked on with ole age.
A arctic fox is stalking Wally in hopes of a easy meal, but I don't think wally is ready to give in just yet.
