Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

tears I cana't stop crying here. You capture the meaning of our existence. those dancing stars in the sky...well, they represent each human life. we are beautiful and we sparkle. I think Elisabeth Kubler-Ross says it best: "We are not powerless specks of dust drifting around in the wind, blown by random destiny. We are, each of us, like beautiful snowflakes unique, and born for a specific reason and purpose." A most special capture, Jan-Carel, and i would have enjoyed a movie of it. That tree is speaking; we've only to listen. Vote! into favs.

A movie would have been awsome, but at least we have this awsome photo. It reminds me of a Stargate SG-1 episode where they find a form of life that looks like a swarm of little glowing lights. Wonderful capture...I love it when I have to really look twice at an image to figure out what I'm seeing. I thought it was starts in the sky at first two, or large puffs of pollen floating on the breeze.

The sparkling lights on a grey milky water is certainly different, Jan-Carel. As a child I remember watching the sparkling sea from the cliffs down from my grandmother's home. There the mountains met the sea. Here, in your photo, they meet a lake. Yet there is a cerain peacefulness which both memory and photograph share. Thanks, John.
