Description

Well okay a UFO over the Andes then. This is a Bryce render I did a while back. I was experimenting using a combo of a Terragen backdrop and a model I built using DoGa. Thanks for taking a peek. Regards. Nanothect.

:-) I've just been working on a similar image. Not sure I'll bother finishing now. How about putting the ship further away? Is it possible to make it appear behind the mountains? just a thought. Like the flare. people say they're cheesy, but I like them.

I hate to have to say this when you have made a picture of superior beauty. However, as a long time photographer, I must take exception with the lens flare. Photographers get lens flare when they use inexpensive lenses and shoot into the sun. They cannot control that, however you can. There are no lenses and no sun, so there should be no lens flare. The rest of the artwork is a spectacular rendition of one of my favorite subjects.

Tsk! GG, you should know a bubble-mapping ray when you see one! Every alien craft has one. Nice render.

Agree with drawbridgep, it probably needs to go back slightly and down from the top edge too. Since you don't want the UFO to cover the peaks, I guess that means pivoting the camera up very slightly. Sorry to add to the weight of opinion but the lens flare just has to go!!!

Very cool model and texture for your spaceship. The terrain is cool, but I think it could become more interesting. Well, really cool picture anyways!

Wonder if MUFON would be able to debunk images like this?..I say we all make a bunch of images like this, send them to MUFON, or any government reporting agency, see if we can fool'em good!

Excellent work. Going by the shadows the sun is coming more from the side then behind the camera as the lens flare suggests. But contrary to Groingrinder's assertion, if the sun is reflecting off of a surface in camera view you're going to get a lens flare.

Cripes!... I only really did this for fun and I rekon it's one of my weaker posts, but it gets loads of comments...truth is stranger than fiction. Thanks for the interest people!

I love the lens flare. I have used it myself and I think that it adds visual diversity. I have used a very expensive camera and achieved a lens flare that I think added a very nice touch to an otherwise visually average photo. Love your work, keep it up.

Since we're on the topic of lense flare, I have gotten lense flare without the sun or anything reflecting the sun being in the picture. But I also think the lense flare is too dramatic. Nice ship and terrain, though.
