Description

Yet another example of simplicity in terrain layers - only three used including the base. A 2000 X 1500 image rendered in 1 hr, 16 mins. Post sharpened, detail enhanced, contrast / brightness adjust. Terrains like this are made possible in World Machine via the settings in my Free Stuff. Thanks for looking in!

amazing what surfaces you can make with only 3 layers! I'm a beginner and i went from no surface to low quali surface and now i'm in the phase of gigantically big surface^^ I've most often 3 bases, like for gras, stones, snow, and in each of them there are up to 6 sublayers :D Great Work man!

Sky, lighting and atmos are excellent, the surfaces are imo a bit too sharp. A beauty of an image anyway.

Yeah...isn't TG great...Sometimes simple and fast are the best way to go...this is beautiful...I think I need to go back to simple...hopefully my work will turn out as good as this :)

Lovely scene... and nothing lost with using 3 layers. Perfect calm water n coloration. I've been having a great time with your WM settings.. made 20+ terrains with it so far. Also I varied it a little with the river macro, and now the displacement filter. The filter is a pretty good one.

Wonderful scene; A bit confused at first when you talked about simplicity and only 3 terrain layers, then understood you were referring to surface layers.

Esquisite. Three layers, yes, but perfectly distributed! That takes some skill, no? And I find one set of surfaces does not work for all terrains, each needs tweaking. On the other hand, your point is very well made!!!!! LOL
