Description

This is my fav flower....... I love the way it blooms and shines out.

This image is dedicated to all those that care to comment my work.

Talking of comments...... Have you ever thought about this??

When your image upload shows 100 viewings and 20 comments..... what comes to your mind??

1. You feel Happy that 100 people cared to view your upload.

2. You feel rejected, 80 out of 100 were not impressed enough to leave any comment. Atleast they could have pointed out some mistake or error.

Now another issue........ When do you comment or not comment??

1. You don't comment at all unless you see something really rare and spectacular..

 2. You comment on your friends work , irrespective of your liking or not liking the image/post.

 3.  You comment back on anyone that comments on your post..... a fair give and take.

 4.  You comment at random pick and choose.

5.  You comment only on artists you have added to your favorites.

6.   You comment only on a Genere on which you post your work.

7.  You don't comment on work that is repeating as a series, day after day..... u are bored by now.  You don't feel like commenting when the daily post becomes too stereo typed.

8.  You don't comment on those peoples work that you have commented in the past and they have not reciprocated  with a similar gesture towards you.....infact they have not even sent a note of thanks...... ever.  You find this as being rude......... so  u reject this person.

OK..... those are too many choices that are given above.  I m sure what you do or don't falls within the above if not...... I would really like to know.

:O))

Love very much the picture. About the comments: First question: 1 Second: I try to comment all the pictures I love, but I love a lot of picture and it takes a lot of time to see all the gallery every day. I think that the option 2 and 7 are mine when I have no much time.

Well, when I have time, I comment on all photography that touches me. When I'm busy, I have to say I only have time to go through my favorites and catch up on everyone's work. This is really beautiful Raj..and fortunately you are in my favorites. :P

1st matter: i dont care much about the ratio comments/viewings, for me its not about viewing, i do like to have many comments though, cos they are always nice to read :o) 2nd matter: When i have time i comment on most images in the gallery (only photography), but this doesnt happen often. Mostly i comment on artists that are on my favs-list (the one on rr and the one in my head: i stopped adding favs a long time ago... i just remember them). And i try to always comment on them. Besides that im looking in the galleries for images that i like. Further more i dont expect comments back from every one i commented on, but that would ofcourse be nice :o) The image: Beautiful macro work here, the colors are beautiful and the pov and compo are ofantastic !! Wonderful work here my friend !! Outstanding work !! e

Well Raj, to be sure I would never post each day if I was to comment on everything I see that provokes me. My best recourse is to have a large group of favorites that ebot me and to stroll the photographic gallery as well, even the bigger ALL entries gallery. If you don't comment on my work I find it interesting... but I'm more interested in trying to predict now and then what will appeal to who? .... I don't always comment on images I visit.... I am 5 foot 6, blonde hair, brown eyes, hourglass figure and go by the name 'bunny'. LOL!!!

This certainly has the wow factor, Raj! Wonderful subject and composition. The flower looks like an Australian native! As for commenting. Given time I stroll through all the photographs and comment on those that appeal whether I know the author or not. Otherwise I comment on my ebot favourites. I know I will enjoy their work - that's why they're my favourites :))) I'm happy when people like any of my posts, but my main enjoyment comes from the inital photographic challenge, and then the post work - trying to change a sow's ear into a silk purse! Kind comments are a bonus! :)))))

I think Enmos and I are on the same page in this matter, I can't really add to what he said except that: I would love to be able to view every posting that comes up and leave a comment, but I don't have anywhere near the time it would take to even view them, let alone comment. As for this image, I always love a good macro, like this one. It's a tad big for my screen, but the shot is great. (and when I say great, I don't mean the RR rating system great, but great as in the dictionary definition great;)

A stunner again, Raj! The colours, the light, the dof... most beautiful! Great statement you have here, my friend! I'm pretty much alike Rachel on this one... when I have time, I comment on all photography that touches me. When I'm busy, I have to say I only have time to go through my favorites and catch up on everyone's work. Sometimes I don't have even time to catch up with my fav/friends, then I'm truly sorry. I know every artist is happy with comments! And I'm sorry I mostly cannot browse the gallery and miss a lot of great work. BTW I have never looked on viewings, just take it as it is ;o)

As for viewing and comments, well I like to see comments,to know what others think about it. As for you pic, thats a really pretty flower, I can see why its your favorite. Not to mention its got a little visitor. Excellent capture and job here.

This is a truly beautiful picture of the bug on the Calliandra! The powder puff flower is also a favourite of mine. As far as commenting goes, you have covered every possible type. I am a poor one in that department. I travel quite a bit and keep missing even the good ones. I try to comment on the people on my fav list, but even there I fail. I wish I had more time to do justice to all the wonderful pictures that appear. I have conditioned my mind not to expect any comments at all on my pictures. That way even one comment is 100% improvement!!! It is not a case of kindness or rudeness, it is just the question of availability of time. I truly wish I could be more gracious about this.

I wonder what would happen if we all really told the truth???? I mean really!!! Instead of just trying to be nice to all those popular names in this gallery? Sometimes it feels clickish here, and if your not in the "in croud" you might not even get noticed! Comments are always very much appreciated and I love to read them and receive them. I also know how hard it is to comment on all the ones who deserve it, with how many hours a day I work and everything else going on in my life, I'm lucky if I just get to my favorite ones. Sometimes I only have time to view and not comment. But when I do comment, I really try to say what I feel about the piece and how it effects me, I really try to be honest and sometimes a bit humorous. We all need to laugh more in this world today, I believe it's healing for us!!!!!! So Raj, as I read yours I thought you were a bit long winded and now I'm following suit!!!!! Excellent thought provoking entry!!!!

That is a magnificent flower..it looks as though it promises bounty to that bee. Very nice capture. Now as to your question. I find that I comment on what I can.. and some extra here and there..and I do it not only because I enjoy the art, but also because it supports each other in the community. Some of your questions up there seemed a bit judgemental..as one of the catagories you did not include was I can't comment on your work because I've a slow computer and a bad connection.. LOL Sound like somebody we know? Let's face it..we comment when we can.. it's fun for a lot of us.. who enjoy art, but it's not fun to feel pressured into it. Remember, we have our lives outside this box. Happy Holidays.

A combination perhaps - beauty, friend's work and of course the constraint of time. Love for pictures, community, it interacts dynamically and I'm amazed by the potential here, by the contacts with wonderful people! Impressive work, Raj, good to think about these things!

a beautiful colored capture, and I also love the kind of flower! hm.... I try what I can if I have time, even I don't have time! g I love to get and read comments, so I know that others do also! but it makes me happy to find an artist, who is unknown and so he didn't get many comments! or some need help to get enough heart to carry on! there I try to be in full length! LOL and you think that everybody tells you the truth???? g

OOOh!! (french version of the famous "WOWWWW")... Did I finally managed to start a revolution?? Interesting questions you asked there, Raj! Not exactly the same that I asked last friday but really interesting. As I said at the end of my long comments list, all this questionning was also written for myself! Rendy members have to know that I never wanted to exclude myself when I started to criticize those behaviours and I have to admit (now that I'm not the one who asks questions) that I can recognize myself in any of your multiple choices. It depends a lot on my mood, on the time I've got to spend (and probably on the weather). It depends also a lot on the images but (I confess) on the name of the author. But I would say that, most of the time, I think and act as Jeroen described in this comments list. Anyway, the discussion had to be submitted and I think (it seems that you agree with this) that we should all keep in mind these thoughts. (your macro is gorgeous, I love it!)

first...i luv this flower! i see that bee does too! ok. i hate ebots. don't get them. so if comment on old image i may not see till days later. if it's way back in my gallery...uh...oops. once in a blue moon i look. I start with #3...comment on people's work who comment on mine. then i go to my fav. artist...if i have time after that, i'll browse photo gallery. but these days...so little time. being a newbie is hard. i found that out when i started this gallery and no one realized who i was. there i was, posting the same kind of stuff, and only a few would comment. i commented on almost everything. still got few responses. hmmmm....as far as viewings, i'm not at all concerned about it. i know some people just don't have the time to look. i'm happy if people just look and enjoy something. enjoyed reading everyone's responses!!!

Very unusual flower! First time I saw one of these bottle brush beauties was when I went to Bellingrath Gardens. I've been around and seen a lot of images in my lifetime...therefore it takes an ususual image to get my attention...upload? Happy abt the 100, never happen to me, and don't care actually...my ego doesn't need stroking...as far as commenting? Probably #7 most of the time...now excuse me, I have 173 more ebots to go through...see ya in abt a week...sigh
