Description
I found this pheasant on the top of the
volcano Haleakala, while driving back
down, it ran in front of the car, I
stopped jumped out with my camera, and
this is what I captured, hope you enjoy...

Wow... Beautiful Male Pheasant. During my grandparents days when pheasants was plentiful, they use to make pheasant leis. They took the best feathers from the neck area and sew them into a lei. Feather leis were usually placed on a hat. They were very expensive those days. I don't think they practice that art anymore. Not with Pheasants anyway. Also, its not easy getting close to a pheasant. Congrats for its capture. Excellent shot. Aloha
