Description

I wanted to make sure I got a post up, so I threw this is here. I found it on my computer by accident; strange how that happens. I know it is mine, the words I remember. I cannot, however, place when I wrote it, although, my computer says July. I love technology! Well, thanks for looking, I'd love if you left a comment, even the shortest are the best! ************************************************* My eyes bleed eternally, The color overwhelming truth. Blinding, I only see in front of me What's clear and strong, No matter its intentions. To simply keep walking is such a chore! Why not just stand here? Let me never move? In this place I know it's quiet, No one else to crash into. Nothing substantial to trip over. I know this place so well, My blindness (or daftness) is no enemy here. I find every need in this solitude, I know no emptiness from being alone. I'll tie myself down, No temptation to wander. I'll never find myself again Out in that world

Well-written... I keep being drawn back to these lines: "I find every need in this solitude, / I know no emptiness from being alone." It makes you think - is it every fulfilled need, every unfulfilled need or everything you need so you don't need anything else... it leaves it open to multiple interpretations and I like that :)

"I'd love if you left a comment, even the shortest are the best!" -- Nothing ventured, nothing gained? WINK. Wonderful piece.

Its funny how solitude is so comfortable. When we find something we like, we never want to leave. The world we know outside of it can be a scary place, you capture that idea exactly.
