Well, this is not real a fossil ;-). This rock is a self-found. I found it(it contains some agate, quarz and calcite) in a rock quarry close to Idar-Oberstein. I left chance it in the historic "Weiherschleife" (gemstone cutter) in Idar-Oberstein. After cutting the rock, there was a surprise: If you watch it carefully, you can see a dog: A poodle jumping after his ball...

Never found them like this in Niederwresbach - they contained usually agate, calcite and amethist although that is a form of quartz. This one is very beautiful, Reinhard! Congratulations!
