Hi,
My name is Connie and I'm from Tenn. I have been working at learning computer graphics and art off and on for years. I love doing it and find it to be my stress reliever along with playing guitar, which is my other favorite past-time in life.
I am so glad I'm able to learn from all the great talent Renderosity has.
My favorite genres are Nature/Lanscape, Animals and Creatures.

So you finally made it. Welcome here. A great start you made. Even the smoke looks excellent - and that is not easy. I only would tone the background volcano down in light - and maybe use a more dramatic atmosphere. To focus the eye to the foreground a little more. But this is only my 2 little cents of course.

Nice starter. You chose a difficult theme for your first image. It's really hard work to create lava on a volcana.

Impressive first render ! (agree that darker stone on volcano could be nice..)

Thank you all for the encouraging words and advice. I applied the suggestions on darkening up the sky and volcano a bit and it looks much better. :) Thank you! I'll upload the revised version tomorrow.
