Description

I'm looking downwards from the 9,000 ft elevation level of Mauna Kea and into an old crater below. Farther across is the lower part of Mauna Loa, a still active volcano. The upper section of Mauna Loa is cover with clouds. The air is a little thin where I'm at. As you go further up in elevation, you need to adjust your movements and breathing. Feeling a little wooooozy here as I had moved a little to fast climbing up the hill I'm standing on. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

Cool Errol! I love the Big Island and never made it up Mauna Kea so this is a real treat. Mauna Loa is an awsome site, especially Volcanoes Natl. Park and the Caldera.

Vegetation will decrease as you go up in elevation. At about the 12,000 ft level, you will see none. Aloha
