Description

"Having the courage to stand up for your beliefs despite whatever pressures you encounter." This is my first piece of artwork (ever). I made this to print and give to my son for his birthday. I wanted to give him something of meaning with a message that he could take with him in life. Tools used: Bryce, Milkshape3D (for some models), Photoshop (model textures and post-production [signature, light rays]). I owe very special thanks to Pelican!! He has meant so much in way of advice, inspiration, and encouragement. His images helped for my ideas. I just hope one day to be able to create artwork 1/2 as nice as his. I also want to thank estevez for his encouragement and comments. His artwork is also such an inspiration. In addition to the other credits listed, I owe thanks to: - fish: Toucan and PlanIT 3D - lobster: jedswindells - seaweed: Pitter and xceiverx - coral: Stuie - octopus, seahorse, starfish: Cafe3D - shipwreck: PlanIt 3D - materials: maga, pixel_wonders, and wolfiesden. Some coral models made by me: - orangish tentacled one with seahorse. - yellow/purple tree-like ones in foreground. - whitish tubular ones.

Thanks again, all! I wish I were a "pro" in this area or any others, but I am very pleased with this first work and look forward to my next project (whatever that will be). Now I have to learn how to mat my picture myself - bought a cutter yesterday and mat board (oh, joy). Didn't realize renderosity isn't hosting "free stuff", so if anyone wants my coral presets in a zip (530Kb), just message me with your email and I'll send. Thanks again!
