Description

This is my response to the Orestes/Markal Up-Close Surface Challenge. Artistic value is low, I think, but I had a blast making this!

Actually, I think Orestes threw the unofficial challenge first. But these are some fine colors & textures plus a dizzying POV!

Excellent surface map, I do like these colors.. at the same time they do work together well in this scene. I didn't know there was an unofficial challenge

Not sure about Orestes challenge but, I did challenge artists for close in to terrain views (see "The Arena"). This is excellent...love the surface and its colors...spectacular view!! Most excellent!!

@Markal - your comment on "The Arena" was my recollection, too, but I defer to Rich2, since I am young and eat marshmellows and don't know any better. LOL It is all for fun anyway. ;)
