Ok Im sure someones gonna ask.... so let me explain the title and the pic. Ahmose em Nut is ancient Egyptian (or Kemetic) meaning, "The moon is born in the sky" and for those that dont know, the Netjer (or goddess) of the sky is Nut... but its also the Egyptian word for sky. This depicts Nut in her typical form: Bent over on all fours with a starry dress (well usually her body is painted blue with gold stars - I changed it a bit and used a dress tho) I did massive work on this sucker, I seriously nit picked it... and Im rather happy at how it turned out... as odd looking as it must be to the *not so egyptian inclined* eye. heh... Since Egypt represents the dead and the art is referred to as funerary, Ive decided to do special dedications to all my dead friends and family members on all my Egyptian stuff henceforth. This one is for my mom... I kinna like to think shes like Nut... stretched over me and watching (which would be really creepy if it were some weird guy LOL) ::Roll credits:: Daz Aspen spirit of the wolf (I dig her alot lately) Her eyes are handpainted typically Egyptian and the ankh is actually an Egyptian font ding. Her dress is MSD ~ Children of the Nile... I changed the hue to blue and added stars - also another font ding. Then I painted the stars.
