Pooklings are my favorite characters. The colors of the elder's clothing are a pleasant change from the darker colors that I am used to seeing. The realistic trees and snow fit the climate that I imagine pookings living in. The elder's pipe makes him more life-like. I imagine that he is standing just outside his house because he would need to be wearing boots and pants if he were walking a long distance through snow.
