Wow, we've got a lot of deep emotions being posted today. Thank you for sharing this... and the part that spoke the most to me was: "She embraces despair. Despair helps to guard against hate, the quick and easy way to cut the knots and move away. Instead, she remembers moments of distant tenderness, and yet keeps away the creepiness of hope. There has never been hope. There once were possibilities."

thank you - i wrote this some months ago - i am curious about the role of strong and difficult emotions - not so much death, but they are often emotions surrounding death, of a person or a relationship - i suppose i hope that by understanding them i can be less afraid of them
