Actually Afternoon.
I was fortunate to win in two calendar contests recently.
Even though most of the comments I read stated the overall lack of talent among the winners, I was pumped to have been selected and am thankful to the sponsors for the contest. Yes, I feel very lucky, there were some amazing pieces entered.
After all is said and done the contest inspired me to do my best at the time. I really didn't think I had a shot.
My infatuation for this type of art started with my first post on renderosity, supported and encouraged by some fabulous people.
This is the first in a line of images with my newly aquired winnings. I hope some of you enjoy it.

Hey!!! Congratulations!!! I've always loved your images, as you know, and I think it's great that you won!!! There is always so much detail in your images-the vegitation and textures in this one are just amazing!! I've still got to get off my lazy butt and fugure out Vue!! LOL!! Excellent work!!! Vote!!
