Description
The subjects of this picture were pieces of driftwood, roots, etc., arranged pretty much as they appear here.
The scenery is invented, including the tree trunk on the left. I was trying a couple of things here (besides just drawing the wood): an impressionistic technique for the water, and using various elements of the picture to draw the eye to the tall stump in the middle.
