This is a very impressive image ,which affects me strongly . What I see are faces of children who can not talk ,their mouths are obstructed with a kind of ribbon , None of what my imagination sees in this awesome image is very pleasant ,so I better keep quiet .You were right to use grayscale for this image. Excellent !!

i agree with Dindin - these are little faces with emotive eyes - like Tiny Tim outside the toy store when the toys are sold and taken - a sense of loss of what they never had - the greyscale is very effective
